Overview

LoveChristStudy (“we”, “us”) is a Bible study app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what’s needed to run the app and do not sell your data.

Information we collect

  • Account information: the email address and password you register with (passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text).
  • Study activity: notes, bookmarks, highlights, quiz results, reading-plan progress, and devotional history you create while using the app, so it can be shown back to you across sessions and devices.
  • AI assistant conversations: questions you send to the in-app Bible study assistant are processed by our AI provider to generate a response and are stored so you can revisit past conversations.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address and timestamps) used for security and abuse prevention.

How we use this information

To provide core features (Scripture reading, scenarios, quizzes, devotionals, notes, the AI assistant), to authenticate your account, to send account-related email (such as password resets), and to maintain the security and reliability of the service. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Data sharing

We share data only with the service providers required to operate the app: our hosting/database provider, our email provider (for password resets), and our AI provider (to generate assistant responses). These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and study data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at wilyboucan@gmail.com. We will delete your data within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.

Children’s privacy

LoveChristStudy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
