Love: A Word for Today

Biblical love isn't a feeling we wait to arrive — it's a choice to seek someone else's good, patterned after how Christ has loved us first. Today's verse, 1 John 4:7, puts it simply: "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God."

Father, You loved me first and loved me fully. Teach me to love others — even the difficult ones — the way You've loved me.
